A Weekend Getaway

It’s Yelagiri at 12/20! Where I got a good time and an off, from my recent project pressures. It’s a wonderful two days trip with Chan, Keerthi, Mak & Jai. Subbu missed this trip, as he’s going to umpire a cricket tournament in his office as he’s a legend & dictionary of cricket [;)]

I was one to initiate this trip and to make these people to bend from their tight schedules. We started from Chennai afternoon by 2pm and it’s a big chatting travel. Makesh updated about Ivesia happenings and Jai mostly about his new office environments, Chan started updating about his HCL experiences and especially his new girl friend [often calls with her petname], I and keerthi were just commenting over their speech. We took our lunch off late in a motel on NH and a thrilling experience is Chan’s driving, as he learnt driving recently. Its ok, but we were just watching each vehicle there on the road and commanding him. Keerthi’s mokkai jokes and comments, and especially his “Athirichi paithiyam” comments, made our stomach pain.

We reached driving the mountain by evening and it’s a spectacular treat for our eyes. On climbing the roads, entire town nearby were twinkling with their glittering lights. Luckily we got one of Jai’s friend’s guest house and it’s a silent stay on a rhythmic calm snow night. Quick shopping, quarrelling cooking, drinks [not me & chan ;)] and a big chat[About politics, terrorism, kollywood, movies, etc., ] were the packages of our night.

A snowy morning and a very cold bed, Oops! Climate is chill and it’s a nice dawn. We are ready for our trekking and started, but came very soon because of tiredness. Reason for tiredness were Chan’s lengthy explanation about mak's .net doubts [He didn’t leave C# and .net even in hills] and diplomatically because of my obese ;) Its time to leave and there were a big photo sessions around the guest house as it had a greenish lawn and nice flowery gardens around. After the sessions, got down from that small hill, and again the chatty travel started and ended in a good restaurant.

Reached Chennai evening and felt in this polluted bin.
