Hugs are always a gizmo to convey your deep love to someone close to your heart. Is that so? But I feel this is not like that we assume. It’s a common action to express many feelings. Welcome, Appreciation, Acceptance, Love can be one among that. It’s not a western culture movement to hug in public. Even in Indian history and even now in North India, people used to hug their relatives and friends, after when they see them long back. In south India, all those are restricted and it’s been treated as an awkward action. But they enjoy those scenes in Movies. I like a fantastic habit of North Indians, when they do a smart kneel and try to touch the foot of their elders to get blessings.

Even in Tamil movies, a good approach about Hugs happened in Kamalhasan's Vasool Raja movie. It will be described as "Kattipudi Vaithiyam". It’s a placid move of conveying a badly viewed good thing, when Kamal used to hug most of the person's in Pain. His justifications for his actions are also good, that he shares the pleasant warmth against them. Yes! it’s a way of treating pains too. When someone is in stress or disguise, if you just console them with words and embrace them with a warm hug, there will not be a good relief for them after. I like to throw light on some scientific views on Hugs. We always have vibrating rings around our body, when we want to share good vibrations through a Hug, this will be transformed to the opponent. Even handshakes falls into this cadre of sharing greetings. Lord Rama, Jesus Christ, Sai Baba and many spread their warmth through divine hugs. Ok! Ok!! Coming back to Kisses, they are for sure reserved to closed groups :) . Kiss on forehead is a good greet of appreciation and accepting them all way. Bharathiyar's nice quote here "Kannathil muthamittal, Ullam than Kal Veri Kolluthadi", look at the mimic comparison of Bharathi and expressing his love.

On an ending note, always try to express your love through actions, rather in a silent mode.

Interesting thing about this post is, I had this topic in my mind so long, but after seen ARR's [Congrats for Golden Globe sir] "Free Hugs" Album, it just came in existence. It’s a fantastic compilation of spreading love and affection through Hugs. Look at that and ready for a Hug?
