Music Messiah

Messiah is the word often refers the person who spreads love and divinity in his actions. Mostly Jesus Christ is referred as ‘Messiah’. On music, I think, the great man “Ilayaraja” is our messiah. Yes! With his fine tunes and melodies, how long he is healing us. It’s really a tremendous job and his divine power. As of music is concerned it has many powers like activating the brain cells, rejuvenating our feelings etc., not all music can do it. The music which is native to our land or origin can do it more. It’s like your food and mother. We might have tasted many foods and traveled a lot. But only our native place and our mom’s food give the eternal satisfaction. As it has the mesmeric power with our life cells. Like the same way, our Raja’s music is a great feast to anyone in pressure. Most of his composing is blended with the native music of tamil people.

One of the primary instruments of his composing will be “Flute”. It’s a percussion instrument, as it just trembles our feel when we hear the soothing music. This is because of the fact; it’s the very ancient musical instrument. Another instrument is “Veena”. It’s a string instrument, and has the divine power to cure heals and touches the brain nerves. He knows the correct ratio of balancing the string and percussions. Most of the songs in ’80 have Raja’s domination and all the backbone of the grand success. For example “Idhaya Kovil”, “Mudhal Mariyathai”, “Mouna Raagam”, “Kadalora Kavithaigal”, and many. Still people can’t forget the background scores of most of the successful films. Apart from Raja’s music, his voice is also magnetic. Many songs, sung by him have that power as his voice and music sometimes makes people even to shred tears. Really it’s very apt to call him “Isaignani” as he has created almost all the good songs.

I’m a die-hard fan of him and really wanted to meet him, once in my life-time. One of my friends Ram has got a chance of meeting him in Singapore Airport, in a Transit-Journey. Lucky Dude! Good music should make you feel it and go with it. We should lose our sorrows and pressure over it. It should conceal from it and mix us in Air. Raja’s music does it. In one of his song, there is one notable lyrics, that will be good for the ending note.

"வருந்தும் உயிர்க்கு ஒரு மருந்தாகும் இசை, அருந்தும் முகம் மலரும், அரும்பாகும். இசையின் பயனே இறைவன் தானே!!!"
